Unfortunately there's this part of you that desires a lighter and more responsive product. Congratulations, Norda heard your concerns and has made the Men's Norda 002 just for you. From the upper to the midsole and finally the outsole the Norda 002 is made to get you 1000 miles in a lightweight and ultra responsive package.

As you might be aware 7000 Feet Running Company is located In a small mountain called Salida, Co. In our small town we are intimately connected to waste management and climate change. That’s why we are constantly trying to get customers into products that do not break down quickly. The problem that occurs is how do you create a product meant for high alpine variable terrain that is durable, lightweight, stable, retains ground feel all while providing  a locked down fit? Norda figured out the math by creating the Men's Norda 002. 

It starts from the top with a sustainable Bio-Based Dyneema Upper and structured ad padded heel cup made for lockdown. Dyneema, which was made famous in ultra-light back packing for being lightweight, abrasion resistant and environmentally friendly, was an obvious choice for Norda. It delivers the lowest carbon footprint per unit strength of any trail running upper currently produced. 

They then sought to find the lightest and most durable midsole possible and what they found was the Virbam® SLE midsole. Engineered by Virbam to be the lightest weight and highest rebound on the market. This engineered EVA midsole is made to handle any environment and distance you can throw at it. 

Finally, Norda understood that regardless of how durable and lightweight the upper and midsole are, the shoe would be worthless without a durable and sticky tread. It was only natural that they added Vibram® Litebase® which is 30% lighter than traditional Vibram treads with Vibram® Megagrip® rubber creating the lightest and stickiest trail running tread on the market.
